Your online shop is based in Canada, can I make purchases from the US?

Yes, you can make purchases from the US. You can view the products in either CAD or USD $, and pay in your currency. The amount charged will be converted and will appear as the local currency on your bank statement based on the current exchange rate.

How much is shipping?

Free shipping on all orders totaling over $175 CAD before applicable taxes (1-3 business day shipping)

Flat rate shipping for all orders under $175:

Canada: $15 via Canada Post

US: $20 via Canada Post Expedited Parcel (tracked)


If you live outside of North America, I am happy to ship to you. Just DM me or email me at and we will figure out what the quickest, most cost effective and reliable way is to do so. 

Can I cancel my order?

You may cancel the order before before it is processed and shipped. If tracking information has been provided this means the order has been processed and is on its way.

How long does it take to ship my order?

Orders can take up to 3 days to process and ship. Orders placed on the weekend will be processed the following open weekday. If there is a problem with the processing time I will inform you.
Tracked parcels should take 2-8 days depending on destination.

International Duties:

PWD is not responsible for any additional shipping or duties fees on your order. Canadian Law requires PWD to provide accurate and legitimate shipping details. PWD will not mark packages as "gifts".

Do you charge taxes?

Currently no. But as my business grows, any orders placed within Canada will be charged their respective GST/HST rates at checkout. I will communicate that when the time comes.

Lost or Damaged Items:

PWD is not responsible for lost or damaged packages. I will provide your tracking number and shipping company information. Once this information has been provided to the customer, it is the customer's responsibility to deal with the shipping company for a resolution. All items are purchased at the customer's risk.

Delivery Location

I recommend choosing a secure location for your delivery address, since I can’t be responsible for stolen or lost shipments. If you require signature upon-delivery, contact me ahead of time to arrange for it.

If the address provided to me is incorrect or the package is returned to me for any reason, I will contact you asap! Please double check your address. Many people are utilizing "auto-fill" on their computers/mobile and suite numbers or street addresses are missing. 

What do I use for Packaging? 

I am currently using and reusing materials that I have on hand so as to not create more waste. So if you see something coming in an Amazon box, it might be from me. Your item will however, be carefully packaged & protected.

If you are unsatisfied with your PWD Hand Dyed purchase, please contact me at or DM me on Instagram @pamelawilson____ to discuss. I will be happy to issue a refund if something is wrong with the item or not as described, and I’ll figure something out that is satisfactory to you.

Will I make a custom order?

At this time I am not doing custom orders. If there is something that you liked or are looking for, lets chat about it and I’ll see if we can figure something out. Deal?

Why doesn’t the item received look like the one in the picture?

Each piece is individually hand made, Dye tones may vary for each project, and can cast different colours in different lights. Many colours can be difficult to photograph, but I do my best to accurately capture the correct colour. 

Why don’t you have multiples or sizing?

Most of the items I make are one of a kind, and I source pre-owned, overstock,  handmade or sustainably made garments. I may only find one of two of the same item. I may on occasion be able to find multiples of something like the ‘Better Lounge Pant’

Is it a flaw or is it art?

Remember...every single item is unique. My dye work may appear to have a lot of imperfections, I’m hoping you view that as creative beauty and not something offensive. As well, I am working with pre-owned items in some cases which may also have some slight imperfections. I will do my best to make sure every item I create is of the best quality and design for you.

What do I use to create my pieces?

Each item is made from either a high quality pre-owned item, deadstock items, handmade or sustainably made items. All dyes are non-toxic professional dyes.

How do I CARE for my items?

Remember, dyes will naturally fade, and you may experience some dye release your first few washes. This is to be expected. Do your best to follow the ‘care’ instructions I have included specifically for your garment to keep it at its best. Wash on its own the first few washes, and if you can, take the time to wash carefully by hand. With careful treatment you should be able to enjoy your special piece for many years.

Labels have been removed from many of the pre-owned items, but I will include a separate tag that will detail fabric content and specific care instructions

Giving Back

How are you giving back? 

I donate 10% of all sales, monthly to 3 organizations: the NWAC (Native Women’s Association of Canada), our Local Food Bank and the Ottawa Stray Cat Rescue.
